External Cladding

Brick
Brick has a 12,000 year history with earliest version sun-dried.  In NZ brick is used as a veneer cladding.  This system manages water superbly and with the heat from the sun any moisture is dried and water issues are rare.  Today there is a huge range of bricks available so you have plenty to choose from.


Schist & Stone
Schist is a medium to coarse grained metamorphosed sandstone that has been re-crystallised by the effects of pressure and heat.  Colour being determined by its dominant mineral.  Schist and stone can be used in a variety of ways, house internal & external cladding.  Fire surrounds, hearths, lintel, sills, pillars, walls, fences, landscaping and gardens.

The extensive variety of stone and schist enable you to incorporate natural accents and create dramatic focal points. Schist and stone add value and enhance the appearance of a property whichever way you choose to use it.  These materials are durable, virtually maintenance free and non-combustible.

Oamaru Stone
Is a hard,compact limestone and has been quarried at Weston, near Oamaru in Otago since 1906. Oamaru stone is one of natures finest building products and blends well with other materials.  Oamaru Stone is supplied sawn, split or bolstered.  Because it can be supplied in any size, a wide variety of laying patterns may be used. This limestone is also used for internal decoration and is perfect for Walls, fireplaces, columns and freestanding features.
 
Cedar  
Western Red Cedar has established a reputation for its outstanding appearance, fragrance and excellent performance.  It has warm natural colours and is adaptable to climate change.  Cedar is most attractive when used as feature walls or panelling above windows and doors.  Cedar exterior doors are very attractive and distinctive.
